4th of July Weekender
Happy Tuesday All!Once again I need to apologize for my disappearing act in my little corner of the internet. Work has yet to let up, but I'm hopeful that it will be changing shortly. Thanks for hanging in there with me. I was so thankful to have a three day weekend and to make it even better, I extended my weekend to four days and took yesterday off! Best decision I've made in awhile. We started off our weekend early and went to the Academy of Science for Nightlife with a couple of our favorite guys. Academy of Science is a museum/aquarium and every Thursday they host nightlife with booze and music too. Scott and I headed out to the city early and found ourself a great little sushi bar near Golden Gate Park. Look at this sushi.
After Sushi, it was off to Nightlife for some fun.
Quite honestly the 4th was spent mostly lounging around watching World Cup and laying by the pool followed by steak dinner at my Gramps' house with my mom. Low key, but after the work month Scott and I have been having it was nice to relax.Saturday we started off the day with Brunch in Berkeley at La Note with Scott's old roommate and his girlfriend. La Note is a super cute french cafe with with a perfect little patio for brunching.
No Saturday would be complete without Moscow Mules and World Cup! Netherlands pulled through after penalty kicks so we are 2 games closer to my prediction of Germany and Netherlands in the final. Why did I not bet money on this!
Sunday was mostly relaxation again, I'm telling you, exhausted mentally and physically from work. We tried to take a trip to the beach but Carl the Fog had other plans so instead we stayed local and napped and spent some more time at the pool. I was so nice to have some time off to myself. I need to remember to do this more often. Cheers to a 4-day week! Can't wait til friday!
