What's in your weekender?

Yes, I do realize it is Wednesday and I'm just now getting to my weekender post. That pretty much sums up how my work week has been so far. I was praying for a let up and it has yet to come. Now I'm just counting down the days until my mini vacation down to Newport Beach for an extended Mother's Day weekend with my mom, sis, niece and nephew.

I had a really great weekend full of friend and family time. I told you last week that my bestie has moved home so we kicked off her homecoming with wine and dinner on Friday night. We parked ourselves at my lovely dining room table and caught up all evening over 2 bottles of wine and pasta. Lovely.

Saturday night the welcome home festivities continued at Oliver's mum's place in SF. Nothing like two nights in a row with some of your favorite people. Oh and drinking wine again.

Sunday Scott and I took a visit up to Sacramento to visit his Nana and Great Aunt's and it was seriously the cutest. These women have so much spunk that they put me to shame. Witty, funny, energetic and still drinking bailey's and coffee in their 90's! It was so nice to sit and talk with them for a whole afternoon. I wish I had taken a photo with all of them...ughh I messed that one up.

Apologies for being MIA and for the lack of pictures in this post. I'm trying to get back on track in my happy place here in blog world.

Hope the rest of our week goes by fast and hopefully you'll see some more of me here too.
