Happy Tuesday!
I was completely burned out from my weekend and way too lazy to write my post when I got home Sunday night, so I'm linking up with Biana at Bloved Boston for her inaugural weekend recap.
Bright and early Saturday morning we headed up to beautiful South Lake Tahoe.
I've been going to Tahoe at least once a year for my whole life and I never get tired of seeing that beautiful water. My grandparents bought a lakeside cabin years ago and so we've always been blessed with this view.
For this particular weekend we opted for a hotel because the cabin was booked and I found a deal on groupon, so we didn't get this view this time around.

We decided to make a couple of pit stops on the way up. Costco, to pick up a tv for the guest bedroom. They were having a killer deal so we bought two; one for our room and one for the guest room.
Now that we had two tv's on our hands we decide to drop them at Scott's great aunt's house for safe keeping instead of leaving them in the car. You never know what a person will do when they lose all of their money at the casino, just sayin'.
Luckily we were able to check in early at the hotel. We stayed at the Lake Tahoe Resort at stateline. This used to be the Embassy Suites and then changed ownership but all of the perks of the Embassy Suites still exist. Manager's receptions with free drinks, daily breakfast and we even received a free drink coupon for the Echo Lounge. Highly recommend staying here, this is my second stay and the rooms are clean, all suites and the location is the best part. It's 5-7 minute walk to the beach and steps to the casinos and heavenly village.
After we dropped off our stuff we headed straight to the beach.
And after a little bit of R&R it was time to
hit up the roulette tables. Saturday = not so successful. Sunday on the other I walked away up $40. I was not leaving that table without any chips. All in all I was down for the weekend but a little less after Sunday's winnings so I was happy with that.
Next stop was a little visit to my second favorite beach area, Zephyr Cove. The water is gorgeous here with all of the boulders beneath the surface and rock formations poking out of the water. I just love it. And if you venture off the "pay" beach (Round Hill Pines beach) there are some really beautiful more secluded beaches like the one we found. Hanging here for a bit made it hard to leave.
Last stop was the traditional Snowflake Drive-In. They have the best shakes and soft serve, so if you are in town make it a point to stop in here. I suck and didn't take any photos of our grub.
On our way down the hill we made a pit stop at my favorite pizza and salad spot for dinner with Scott's Aunts, Uncles and Cousin and it was a nice way to closeout the weekend.
I had actually thought about doing a full Tahoe review (and B actually requested it) but with such a short trip, I don't feel like I can do it justice this time. Don't you worry though, it will happen so stick around. :)
Hope you all had a fantastic weekend!
