I'm an avid reader and really enjoy a great read. I probably read about 20 books a year and after every great book it seems that I fall into a little mini readers depression. In my head I think, "what if the next on isn't as good and I'm disappointed? Somehow I always make it through these little slumps and find myself a great next read. I thought it'd be fun to share some of the books I've been reading.
My most recent completion was The Husband's Secret
I feel like the title of this baby just sucks you in right away. All of us nosey women need to know what this secret it. And when the book starts off with the wife finding a sealed letter saying "For my wife, Cecilia Fitzpatrick. To be opened only in the event of my death." You better believe that one line got me through the semi slow start to this book. Once you get to about 15-20% you'll be hooked and enjoying most of the stories of the three leading ladies in this book. There a definitely a couple of scandals and like all books of this sort, all the characters seems to tie together.
Score: 3.5 out of 5 stars
The slow start was a little rough for me and while I did enjoy reading the book, I felt like I was interested in some of the women more than others. So I fought through some chapters just to read about my favorites. I felt like there could be a little more character development but overall a good general read.
I just started The Fault in Our Stars and I already love it. I know by the end I will have balled my eyes out but I love it. 30% read in the first sitting, this review will be up shortly.
I'm always looking for recommendations, so would love you to send some great reads my way.
