But alas, here we are on Tuesday. Let the countdown for freedom begin. T-minus 4 days 'til the weekend!
First off, I want to give my thanks to all of the men and women in the armed forces who risk their lives for us everyday so that we can live the lives we lead. So if this is you or one of your loved ones, Thank you.
Friday night I stopped off at Trader Joe's and picked these pretties up. I've had some peonies on my desk at work all week and I needed some at home too. Can you believe I've never had these flowers before. Where have I been?!
I decided to have one of these at home with my very own bleu cheese stuffed olives and then Scott and I walked to get some FroYo after dinner.
The next morning I slept in until 10 am!
This NEVER happens.
Saturday I was in the mood for some shopping so I started out online at Nordstrom and then we headed to Nordstrom Rack. Did you hear, they were having an additional 25% off clearance in store. I swear that never happens. And of course I only found 1 thing on clearance; it was a good find though. A pair of Citizen Emerson slim boyfriend crop jeans.
Ladies, I got these babies for $44 dollars!! Originally $198. God I love a good deal!
After that we went to our local dive bowling alley for some fun times with my niece and sister. Idean was there too but he was napping.
Saturday night we met up with some of Scott's buddies that are now my buddies. Pretty cute couple huh? Sean (on the left) recently proposed to Hector (right) up near Monterey and it was so fun to catch up with them and talk about wedding plans. Conversation is never dull with these two!
Sunday Scott and I went to an open house that turned out to be a bust. Frustrating. We walked the local farmers market and then had a beer and lunch in town. Finished off the day with dinner at my mom's.
Monday Funday! I was looking forward to this day all week. My awesome Gramps' band was playing at a local park for Memorial Day! Shhhyesss my Gramps' is in a band and he plays Trombone! Like a boss. ;) All kidding aside, he's played in big band bands for my entire life and I always love seeing him play. So proud!
Ended the night driving my aunt's Mazda 6. Let me just say that I had no idea this car had so much pick up!! Good lord is this car fun to drive. 90+ on the onramp, 100 mph and only in 5th gear. I had to punch it to 6th just to feel it but slowed down immediately. I can't afford a ticket thank you very much. Major props on this car. I would love to test her out again sometime. A little speeding bullet!
All in all a great little 3 day weekend!
What was in your weekender?
