Birthday Nostalgia

As I'm approaching my 30th, I've been reminiscing on some of the best birthday celebrations of my 20's. I've narrowed it down to my 23rd, 26th and 27th. All absolutely memorable, I feel like when I look at the photos I get transported back and relive the nights all over again. My 23rd was a week long affair complete with a night out a the Davis bars with my favorites and the Brooks and Dunn Farewell concert. One of my favorite memories from my night out at the bars was singing/screaming along to Sweet Caroline all the while being video taped by my sweet sister. ( I was going to post it but it wouldn't upload... boo)

When I hit 26, I decided it was time to start having themed birthday parties again. And I thought it would be a good idea to ease my friends into this idea so I started off with a black and white party. Easy peasy. And as you can see it was a very classy event, complete with beer pong and flip cup on the  deck under the stars.

Since 26 was such a hit it was time to up the ante. For my 27th birthday it was an 80's themed roller skating party at our local roller rink. Yes, it was as awesome as it sounds. Our group ended up being the only group in the rink so I easily talked the DJ into playing 80's music for us for the rest of the night. Did I mention that Marty McFly made an appearance as well. B got the award for best costume that's for sure! We roller skated for a few hours and then headed back to the house to party until the wee hours of the morning.

Looking forward to this weekend because I know I will be making some more wonderful memories with some of my favorite people. Thank you in advance to Scotty, Carla, Janis, Kathleen and Marty McFly for celebrating with me this weekend and making my 30th so special. Excited to add another great birthday weekend to the list (and a post of course too). Tahoe here we come!
