Showering the Little Mister

Yesterday we celebrated in honor of the little mister to come with a brunch with family and friends. We've been planning and pinning ideas for the last month and a half and brought everything together  to shower my sister and the little man. One of my favorite ideas was the never say baby mustache game, which didn't actually work according to plan. Apparently wearing a fake mustache as a woman isn't fun for everyone; but hey some of us sported them with pride. The brunch menu included two types of homemade quiches, fruit salad, bread and french feta cheese (persian breakfast) and my aunts famous macaroni salad. For dessert we had french macarons, gluten free cupcakes and the beautiful pinterest inspired watermelon cake (next post). While the preparation has engulfed my life for the last couple of weeks it was all worth it when the guests arrived and stayed late into the afternoon. A lot of my favorite moments in life include sitting with the whole family and just being together and laughing, so yesterday was food for the soul.
