Hey dolls, my apologies for being immensely absent as of late. This house buying thing is no joke. It appears that I'm a completely different person now that I'm a new homeowner. We have yet to move into our little abode but I have everything house on the brain. Since I've been absent I thought it would be fun to do a little update with this currently post.
{Reading}I can't even remember the last book I read :( It seems that the only thing I'm reading lately are DIY home websites and blogs. I'll take book recommendations though.
{Watching}Most of our shows are on dumb winter break which is so frustrating. Spoiler alert! Did you Revenge watchers see the winter finale last week?!?!?! OMG, I was so sad at the end of that episode. RIP Daniel. :(
One of the other shows I just started watching is Girlfriends Guide to Divorce on Bravo, anyone else watching this? So far I'm really liking it.
My other show not on holiday is Real Housewives of Beverly Hills I just love those ladies.
{Doing}Painting. We spent probably about 12 hours painting last weekend and I'm pretty sure I was dreaming about it too. Painting can definitely be fun, but when you are painting a whole interior of a house it is rough to say the least...here are some progress shows so you can see what we've done so far. Living Room
 |
| We'll be painting the door soon, but that color on the door is basically the same color that the entire house was painted |
Dining Room
 |
| The color is definitely grey, but the light in the dining room gives it a purple tint...light bulb change for sure. |
{Feeling}
Excited and Overwhelmed. I HATE moving. And after only being in our apartment for a year it feels like we just got settled so uprooting just feels like so much work. That being said, I'm very excited about having our own place
{Working on}Everything house. I don't mean to sound like a broken record, but we live and breath this place and Home Depot where people are starting to recognize us because we are there so often.
{Crafting}I wish. If said craft doesn't involve the house then it's not happening right now
{Looking forward to}Being all moved in and settled. I have this vision in my head that we won't be living among boxes after we move. HA!
{Listening}I'm not a huge Christmas person but Scott has been playing Christmas music while we've been painting and there are definitely a few that I really enjoy.
{Loving}Our new couch and appliances!!
 |
| The dryer plays the cutest little song to tell you your clothes are done. LOVE |
I really like these currently posts! I get to touch base with you all and myself. Feels like a win win.
Thanks for sticking around during all the craziness in my neck of the woods. Hope you all have a wonderful humpday!
Yay!! Congrats on the new house girl! I love the gray wall color, it looks great. I don't think it looks like it has a purple tint at all. Love your new couch and appliances too! Oh and I'm totally loving RHOBV!

Sequins & Sea Breezes
Look at all your built ins - love them!! Can't wait to see when you give us the tour :) I didn't watch last nights episode of RHOBH but I need to catch up! xo, Biana - BlovedBoston
ReplyDeleteOh my, those new appliances....hot stuff! It's all just coming along great and you'll be in and settled before you know it.....I mean, really there's just no choice in the matter- December is zooming by!
ReplyDeleteGlad you gave us an update and hope to keep getting more ;) & ditto on the book thing, can't remember my last either and I'm clueless on your shows so I can't chime in there :(
And totally off topic-I did have a beets in my juice this a.m. for the first time and I must say: yummy in my tummy, thanks for the suggestion.
It is exhausting for sure, but so exciting!! You will look back on this fondly when its all over!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the gray you picked! Everything is looking so good, pretty appliances too! I know exactly what you mean about being consumed by all things house, we were the same way when we bought our house, and yes, the people at Home Depot knew our names. We were in there and Lowe's constantly!
ReplyDeleteWAIT WHAT RIP DANIEL?!!! Shit I need to catch up. But I don't like Daniel, I'm still so sad and in denial over Aiden.
ReplyDeleteHow exciting!!! Moving does suck but a new home is so much fun! Those are my two current favorite shows as well. The Girlfriends guide reminds me of my life lol
ReplyDeleteRHOBH is my shizzzz! Love that show! Hope moving is going ok in spite of it being hectic :)
ReplyDeletepainting is the most heinous of activities. well, that's not entirely true... edging is the worst so i make my husband do all of that while i have fun with the roller :D
ReplyDeleteI'm loving the look of this place - that paint color is absolutely fantastic! (I know painting is brutal, but seriously, it looks AWESOME). Can't wait to keep seeing the progress! xo
