I don't know about you guys, but that sound, especially in the work setting, makes me cringe.
I was talking to my dad the other day and somehow the fact that I've been drinking everyday came up. That's right, I said I've had a glass of champagne or wine everyday for as many days as I can remember...
In my defense I've had a hell of a month at work. Legit Hell. And now that I think about it, it's been longer than a month. You know when you have those days months of just non-stop stupid craziness that makes you question what the hell you are doing with your life.
The kind of weeks that go by so fast that when Friday rolls around instead of saying TGIF, its more like FIF (F*$K it's Friday) WHO SAYS THAT?! Probably the worst feeling ever.
Yes, that thought was then followed by a champagne induced mini meltdown as well.
Speaking of life and meltdowns, I haven't been working on any of my new years goals! That's a lie, I've been pretty good about cutting out the gluten. Everything else....nope not so much.
That being said, I don't get to complain about my body or mind because I have not put in the effort to make it better. Thank you so much confession #3 (work hell) for derailing my goals.
Hopefully some of you are still here and following along. I'm going to be better about visiting this space of mine more often; not making any promises yet because workload and life load have been ridiculous. I miss posting and having my little outlet here so I really hope to get back into my groove as soon as possible.

Girl, I feel you on the Friday thing. I have so many meetings during the week that by the time I get to Friday I have a ton of work to do and I have no idea when I'm going to do it. I hope things start to get better for you soon. We miss you!

I was so happy to see you pop back up in my bloglovin feed!!!! Girl champagne every night......even if it lead to a mini meltdown....is something I could sign up for ;-)
ReplyDeleteWoo hoo - so happy to see you hear! I share an office and one of the girls has some of the weirdest habits...like so gross that I need to wear headphones LOL! xo, Biana - BlovedBoston
ReplyDeleteHey you're back! I was just thinking the other day I hadn't see you in a while! We miss you around here but I TOTALLY get it, sometimes life just happens and takes precedence over the blog. So sorry work has been awful for you, I hope it gets better soon!
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry you've been having a hell of a time. I hope it gets better for you soon.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry it's been awful. I can totally relate; work has been the same for me for... well, the past year and a half basically. But I have to wonder, WHY OH WHY does anyone ever think it's remotely appropriate to groom themselves like that at work? I mean, I keep a nail file in my pen cup but that's in case I snag my nail or something and I have a sharp/jagged edge and I fix it in 2 seconds and that's it. I keep nail files pretty much everywhere for this and will fix a sharp nail whenever it appears because I'm an idiot and scratch myself or get my hair caught in it or something. Is that just as bad? Please tell me it isn't!
ReplyDeleteBooo so sorry for you being bogged down with work crap. I've missed you!! Girl, I've had a drink every day for as long as I can remember, too, and with the craziness of life, love and everything else, sometimes it's just a necessity (in moderation!). Cheers :)
ReplyDeletei totally get it! life shits all over you and blogging has to take a back seat but glad to see this post. i have missed your posts, btw and for a second, i thought you all together up and left us (no, don't do that!). i have a glass of wine errday and i don't even feel bad about that either :D
ReplyDeleteThere are 2 kinds of people in this world, those that think it's acceptable to cut their nails in public and those that don't. I'll never understand how someone can think that that's okay. I had one of those in my new office too, but luckily she left (of course).
ReplyDeleteCutting nails in the office is beyond dahat! I find that it's always men, I've never seen a woman doing it. I've been having wine every night too and I don't want to be...ugh the struggle. PS Kim's frozen cry face makes me want to run and get botox.
ReplyDeleteI see nothing wrong with a glass (or two) or wine/whatever on a daily basis. It's when you need it for survival that it's a problem! Public grooming is the worst. I remember being on a train with someone who was doing a full on manicure (cutting, filing, painting) and I literally had to move. Some things should be done in the privacy of your own home!
ReplyDeleteMy boss clips his nails in his office, over the garbage real quick-like and it's still NOT acceptable. Ever. Nor is flossing your teeth at the office. I'll take nail clippings over teeth flossing. And if the day comes when I see someone using a Q-tip, I'll declare WAR. Us against them....the two different kinds of people in this world!
ReplyDeleteAfter my 22 oz of Shock Top last night I've decided the drinkers are on to something. It gave me the energy I needed to bust thru my chores.....I even vacuumed and mopped, on a school night!
LOL, Kim's cry faces are gold. Those Kardashians and their frozen faces freak me out!!! But seriously that gif is a perfect picture of what this week was for you!
Here's hoping the next one is better and see you Sunday friend!!!
